Metallomics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original (primary) research and review articles on all aspects of the growing research field of metallomics. It is published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Authors can elect to have accepted articles published as open access.[1]
The editor-in-chief of Metallomics is May Copsey. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2009 immediacy index of 0.755. [2] The journal will receive its first impact factor in 2011.

Metallomics covers all research areas that are related to the research field of metallomics, including chemical speciation in biological systems, accumulation and metabolism of metals in biological systems, the interaction of metallodrugs, including chemotherapy agents, with biological organisms, metal exchange between biota and the environment and certified reference materials for biological applications. Metallomics publishes the following types of articles: Research Papers (original scientific work); Communications (preliminary accounts that merit urgent publication); and Reviews (invited personal accounts or critical analyses of specialist areas).
